Our history
Organic agriculture began for us as a way to scape dullness. However, we did it with a clear idea, that we wanted to elaborate on quality, health products. After more than 15 years growing our own fields, following the principles of organic agriculture, we began making our own wines. In 1998 we founded Viñedos Ruiz Jiménez, with the dream of making wine, with the grapes we produced, controlling the full process, from vine to bottle.
After more than 20 years, we continue with the same goal. Working our fields, caring and respecting our environment, and so, we obtain the best grapes to produce our quality wines.
Our governing principle is hard work and consistency. We believe in what we do, and we surely enjoy it. We pick up the fruits of the work we have done so far, and we look at the future with hope. Our basic pilar continues to be, our vineyards.
Our vineyards
In order to obtain good wine, it is necessary to have good raw materials, that’s why we put our trust on our vineyards and take care of them with love. We are at the heart of Rioja Baja, fields with different types of soil and characteristics, such as La Plana de Turrás and Valcaliente, which give us different conditions to produce a wide range of wines.
Our fields are unique places, located at 400 and 600 meters of altitude, where we grow white and red varieties. 65 hectares of bio-dynamic production, treated with care to get quality grapes.
Our wines are the result of the combination of the 5 elements:

Wine elaborated with passion, initiative and energy. FIRE. Present in the character and creation of our wines.
AIR
All this with the energies of AIR, purifier, life, biodiversity; the guarantee of the balance of all ecosystems.
TEAM
To shape the 4 elements, the fifth element comes into play our team, people who make possible the elaboration and creation of our wines.
WATER
Vertebral element, purifier, responsible for life cycles. It is part of everything: us, plants and is also, part of the wine we make.
EARTH
For this creation, we need a base, EARTH, climate and soil, fundamental for the growth and development of the vineyards, lands carefully treated to achieve the highest quality.
